Context
A scoring app for playing darts with friends, with Google sign-in. You play X01 (301, 501, 701) or Cricket, online or on the same device, with up to six players.
It also has an adaptive bot with five profiles, a training mode (13 drills across 5 levels), statistics, 15 achievements, a knockout tournament, a bullseye shoot-out to decide who starts, and a voice announcer.
A few choices
- Real time without a server to watch over. A game is one row in the database: players receive their game’s changes through Supabase Realtime, and chat and rematches go through broadcast.
- An offline queue. If a write fails, the change is kept aside in the browser and replayed when the connection comes back. The known limit: the last write wins.
- Game rules in one place: bust, double-in and double-out, master out, Cricket, legs and sets.
- Finishing suggestions (the “checkout”): a cached search for the least difficult dart path.
// For my 2026 projects, I work with AI agents (Claude Code): I frame the need, write the specification, then review and validate the code.
